I call them vanishing kale chips because they do! Seriously. In like 2 seconds. You have never seen a bunch of kale disappear as quickly as this does. The chips are crispy, salty, and oh so satisfying.
I start with organic curly kale. The kale should be on the stiff side and a rich green color. If it is wilted you can soak it in ice water for 20 minutes and it will come back to life. If it is yellowish it is no good.
• 2 bunches of kale
• 1 tablespoon avocado oil/coconut oil/ghee
• 1 teaspoon sea salt
add any spices you want- red chili, cumin, curry, paprika etc
Method of preparation:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Wash and dry kale- make sure kale is totally dry
In a bowl add oil, kale and salt/spices.
Massage to make sure there is a thin, even coating.
Place the kale in a single layer on a baking sheet and put in the oven
Rotate the baking tray after ½ hour
@ 1 hour or until the kale is crispy
